The HKIE Structure Excellence Award Presentation Ceremony was held yesterday (15/11). The award aims at promoting excellence in structural engineering through design and construction of buildings / infrastructure and research and application.

 

Rosana of Yau Lee Group attended the ceremony was glad that the North District Community Health Centre (NDCHC) at Pak Wo Road and Hong Kong Housing Society’s (HKHS) “Eminence Terrance I” were awarded Commendation Merit Award and Finalist respectively.

 

The NDCHC adopted “3S design” for the project, which means the project team focused on simplification, standardization and singled integrated elements, to improve construction efficiency. Meanwhile, Eminence Terrance I is HKHS’ first MiC project also first residential project in Hong Kong featuring preassembled MiC balconies. In order to solve the logistic problem, balcony is combined into the living room as an integrated MiC module to reduce the height.

 

The successful implementation of these innovative techniques not only enhanced the overall construction process but also set new benchmarks for future projects in the region. Rosana expressed pride in the collaborative effort between various stakeholders, emphasizing how teamwork and innovative thinking were critical to overcoming challenges throughout the project in their projects.
