Willis Construction Risk Event 2026
Themed “Building Resilience in a Digital and Climate-Driven Era,” the Willis Construction Risk Event 2026 was held this afternoon (26/2). Rosana of Yau Lee Group was invited to join the first panel discussion on “Risk Transfer and Liability Challenges in Robotic Applications on Construction Sites.” The other panelists included James of Geometry AI and Rudy of Kennedys, with Jevonf of Willis as the moderator. The discussion mainly focused on the adoption of robotics and AI in construction, covering technology, development, contractual practice, regulation, and insurance, while emphasizing the rapid changes the industry must navigate. It must balance opportunities for productivity gains with complex risk allocation and governance gaps.

The theme color of the event reminded all attendees of the 2026-2027 Budget announced yesterday. It is encouraging to see the government pressing ahead with the development of the Northern Metropolis, which will stimulate housing and infrastructure development as well as the industrialization of AI to facilitate wider application. Rosana is committed to embracing emerging technologies, emphasizing the importance of collaboration within the community to address the root causes of challenges faced in adopting these innovations through a swift and unified approach to leverage technology effectively so that the industry can maximize productivity and stay ahead in this rapidly evolving landscape.
