MiT Science Storytelling Workshop was held today (7/6). In this full-day workshop, Dr. Fabio Duarte, MiT Senseable City Lab Principal Investigator, and Prof. Becky Loo, Professor of HKU Department of Geography, led the team to share techniques for communicating the scientific research in an engaging way to other researchers, stakeholders, and the general public.
As the donor of HKU’s Joint Lab on Future Cities, Dr. Rosana Wong from Yau Lee Group also joined the workshop to provide support. She believed the importance of ensuring that research papers and findings reach a broad range of stakeholders, not only those within academia. This was also her initiatives to set up Prosit Philosophiae Foundation where she aims to build an extensive, open-ended global network of institutional partnerships, enabling discoveries to translate into real-world interventions and meaningful impact for the cities of tomorrow—guided by the wisdom of crowds. She is also working to establish a fully connected international network through a Private, Public, Global Academic Partnership (PPGAP) model, with a focus on studying and exploring intergenerational cities and dynamic intelligence for smarter, more sustainable future urban development
