Green Building Award (GBA), co-organised by the Hong Kong Green Building Council and the Professional Green Building Council, aims to recognize and commend the excellence and contributions made by organisations and projects towards a sustainable built environment. The theme of GBA 2021 is “Shaping Liveability ‧ Excellence in Sustainable Built Environment” and the number of nominated projects hit a record high this year. On Tai Estate was transformed from a barren quarry and built with a planning principle of the “Sustainable Community for Green and Healthy Living” to provide 7209 units with landscaped gardens and recreational spaces which offer an “Urban Oasis” to be enjoyed by the residents and visitors.

Hong Kong’s first high-rise building project using concrete MiC (Modular Integrated Construction) to demonstrate and implement the idea of "GREEN" in a way that optimises efficiencies in resource management and operational performance in its life cycle as well as creating a realm of harmonious living lifestyle with the natural environment for residents.
